Lenape Valley Recreation Council (LVRC) is pleased to announce the launch of our new website.
Since 1965, the LVRC has provided local youth with recreational sports programs, designed to foster individual integrity, self confidence and sportsmanship. The LVRC offers a number of different leagues in baseball, basketball, football, cheerleading, ice hockey, softball and soccer. LVRC program continues to grow and currently has over 2,000 boys and girls participating in its recreational leagues.
Young participants in LVRC programs not only learn the fundamentals of a chosen sport but also learn life skills such as good personal conduct and self discipline.
The coaches, managers and board of the of LVRC are all local volunteers and LVRC could not operate without the generosity of the men and women that make up our all volunteer staff. The goal of our coaches is to teach a sport’s fundamentals in a healthy, competitive environment, ultimately leading local youth to become responsible members of our community. While winning is important, it is more important that the children in our leagues build life skills that will carry them into adulthood. LVRC encourages staff to provide coaching and instruction based on positive encouragement, inclusion and teamwork.
The most important goal is for players to have fun and develop a lifelong love of sports and physical activity. Create an atmosphere of fairness, trust and encouragement for every team member in our community.
